2. Operator technique There are many highly technical procedures required in the treatment of a dental cavity and the importance of adequate curing can be overlooked. Orange safety glasses ("Blue-Blockers") are often not used resulting in the operators not being able to carefully watch what they are doing. When different techniques are combined with intraoral movement of the curing light, there can be much variation between the actual energy delivered between different operators using the same dental curing light.
